Excitement swirled on Friday as what appeared to be set photos for The Flash surfaced. The question that remains, however, is exactly what it is.
Set photos surfaced on Friday referring to filming being done for Wayne Manor in the upcoming The Flash movie. While many people believed it to be the house used in the 1989 Batman film – us included for a brief time – it turns out it’s not. The photos were first published by The Lincolnite which believed the filming was for The Batman, however, that movie has already wrapped production.
Knebworth House was used for the exterior of Wayne Manor in Batman, while the interiors were shot at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. This location is a completely different building known as Burghley House.
While it most definitely fits with the aesthetic set by Knebworth House for the exteriors, we can’t at this time confirm if this will be Wayne Manor for Keaton’s Batman or not. England is a popular filming location, and Warner Bros. has dozens of projects in various stages of production and pre-production; without seeing any telltale signs, all we know is that this is a Warner Bros. production set in England. Is it for The Flash? Probably, but we can’t say for sure just yet.
It was recently confirmed that Keaton will indeed be playing Batman once again in The Flash.
The Flash is set to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2022.
