This fall, a new event will come to the Bat-titles, and things are going to get spooky.
Scary, even, as the Scarecrow lets loose his plan to control Gotham City through the power of fear in the event that’s titled, appropriately, “Fear State.” I mean, if you have a gimmick, commit to it, right?
What’s more, Mayor Nakano will be laying the groundwork for Gotham’s Future State to become a reality, as he brokers a deal with the Magistrate to take control of the city.
Needless to say, Batman is going to have his work cut out for him in dealing with these dual threats, so how about some backup? In addition to the “Fear State” event, Harley Quinn and Catwoman will kick off new arcs, and two new books will make their debut: I Am Batman, which follows up on the events of The Next Batman: Second Son, and Batman: Fear State Alpha, which takes the threads started in Future State and Infinite Frontier and brings them to the forefront to lead into the next year of Batman stories.
More details as we hear them, as there will no doubt be tie-ins in other series and other one-shots that have yet to be announced. In the meantime, check out more details over at the DC blog.
The road to “Fear State” kicks off with I Am Batman #0 on August 10, and hits the main Batman title in issue #112 this September.
