Batwoman has found a new, powerful CEO to populate Gotham City, and it’s Robin Givens.
Deadline has reported that Robin Givens has joined the cast of Batwoman season 3 as Jada Jet, the CEO of Jet Industries. We first learned about this new character last week when casting sides appeared for this character as well as her son, Marquis. According to the descriptions, Marquis has a cruel side that only Jada can keep in check.
The series will also reveal that Jada has a deep past that led to her giving up her first-born child. While not announced yet, we don’t think it’s too difficult to imagine that Ryan Wilder – the current Batwoman – will end up being that long-lost child.
With the character of Jada now confirmed, that lends even more credence to the similar rumor that Renee Montoya will be joining the series in season 3 as well. No word on casting for her or Marquis as of yet.
Givens most recently on another CW series, Riverdale, playing Sierra McCoy, the mayor of the city and the mother of Josie of Josie and the Pussycats. Givens has also spent some time directing episodes of that series, as well as directing a 2021 film, Favorite Son.
Batwoman season 3 will debut on Oct. 13, 2021.
