According to a new report, Leslie Grace will be suiting up as Barbara Gordon in the upcoming Batgirl movie.
After news that Warner Bros. would be testing multiple actresses this week for the role lead role in Batgirl, it seems the studio has already found the actress. According to a report from Deadline, Leslie Grace has landed the coveted role.
Grace’s most recent work included a breakout role in In The Heights for Warner Bros.
Other actresses that were rumored to be testing this week included Isabela Merced (100 Things to Do Before High School) and Zoey Deutch (The Suite Life On Deck). Haley Lu Richardson (Five Feet Apart) was also reportedly being considered, but some reports suggested she had already passed on the testing process.
Batgirl is the first of multiple DC projects that will be heading directly to HBO Max. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will direct the film from a script by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey).
No release date has been announced for Batgirl as of yet.
