According to a new report, J.K. Simmons is in talks to reprise the role of Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Batgirl movie on HBO Max.
The Hollywood Reporter has shared the news that Simmons is in talks to appear in Batgirl. Simmons first appeared in the role in 2017’s Justice League, and then appeared again in 2021’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
The report did not indicate how far into negotiations the talks are at this point.
The Batgirl project seems to be a priority at HBO Max right now with Leslie Grace having nabbed the role on July 21. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will direct the film from a script by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey).
No release date has been announced for Batgirl as of yet.
