The Flash season 8 will kick off in Nov. with a five-part special event entitled “Armageddon.”

We’ve known for some time that The Flash would return with a big storyline, and now we have more details on the project. It seems that this event will see aliens once again threatening the Earth, and only The Flash and some friends will be able to fight it off.

A powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances and Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world. But with time running out, and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail.

And those allies will include Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Chyler Leigh as Sentinel, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, and Osric Chau as Ryan Choi. Tom Cavanagh will also return as Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash and Neal McDonough will appear as Damien Darhk.

Will any of the returning characters stick around past this storyline? We’ll just have to wait and see. Still no word on plans for The Flash past this season, so this may be a test to see if certain combinations could work.

The Flash season 8 is set to kick off on Nov. 16, 2021.
