Despero is set to make his live-action debut in the upcoming season 8 of The Flash.

Deadline is reporting that BAFTA Award-winner Tony Curran (Your Honor, Ray Donovan) will portray the Kalanorian telepath when he makes his small screen debut.

Despero was introduced in Justice League of America #1 in 1960 and has made many appearances over the years in the comics and in various animated series.

There’s no word as of yet as to when exactly in the season he will appear, but as the synopsis of the five-episode opening “Armageddon” story said it will involve an alien threat, we’re feeling pretty confident that is where he will appear.

The Flash will kick off its eighth season with the five-part crossover that will see Grant Gustin’s hero teaming up with Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Chyler Leigh as Sentinel, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, and Osric Chau as Ryan Choi. Tom Cavanagh will also return as Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash and Neal McDonough will appear as Damien Darhk.

The Flash season 8 is set to kick off on Nov. 16, 2021.
