The first official production image from Peacemaker has arrived giving us a look at the return of John Cena.
As The Suicide Squad ended we came to learn that Amanda Waller wasn’t quite done with him and she had sent Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and John Economos (Steve Agee) to recruit him for another mission. What exactly that mission is, we don’t know yet, but apparently, it involves the fate of the world.
In this first image, we see Harcourt and Economos sitting at tables with Peacemaker (John Cena), Vigilante (Freddie Stroma), Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks), and Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji).
It looks to us as though perhaps Task Force X doesn’t have a large budget for whatever this mission is.
Peacemaker is slated for eight episodes on HBO Max with James Gunn having written the entire series and directing five of the episodes. The exact release date has not been set yet, but is scheduled for Jan. 2022.
