HBO Max has released a clip from the upcoming Peacemaker series, and introduces – from a distance – his pet bald eagle.

Ahead of the upcoming DC FanDome Peacemaker panel, HBO Max has shared a first look at the series. We had already seen a few seconds of this scene in an HBO Max promo, but now we’re getting the full video.

In addition to John Cena returning as Peacemaker, we see Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and John Economos (Steve Agee) from The Suicide Squad. The two new characters are Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks), and Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji).

Judging by where they are meeting, and a previously released photo of a low-budget office for the team, it seems that Amanda Waller has not given this team very much of a budget for their unknown mission.

In addition to the actors in this scene, Peacemaker is going to have a fairly large cast. One of the most notable cast members will be Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgement Day) playing Auggie Smith, Peacemaker’s father. Another round of cast additions was announced in Dec. 2020 including Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), and Christopher Heyerdahl (Togo) were added as recurring guest stars. Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji were added in early February, and were joined by Nhut Le as Judomaster later in the month. The last round of announced additions included Alison Araya and Lenny Jacobson as a married couple named Amber and Evan and will appear on a recurring basis. In May of 2021, Freddie Stroma joined the cast as Vigilante, replacing Chris Conrad.

A Peacemaker panel will be taking place during DC FanDome on Oct. 16. We suspect more footage will be shown there as well as a more specific release date than the current “Jan. 2022” than we currently have.
