DC FanDome 2021 is now in our rearview mirror, but that doesn’t mean everyone is done sharing just yet.
During the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom presentation, some new images were shared of the upgraded Black Manta suit. Director James Wan has now shared those on his Instagram so we can get a good look at them.
“Black Manta (played by the talented and badass [Yahya Abdul-Mateen II]) and his ship/tech inspired by the aesthetic of the Silver Age (and New 52) comics,” said Wan.
He’s not wrong. Everything here feels like it was torn from the Silver Age, and we’re loving it. It also looks as though Manta will spend a lot more time in the costume this time around, and we’re anxious to see what new tricks the suit may have now.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is due to hit theaters on Dec. 16, 2022.
