The new issue of Total Film is arriving and with it comes a few new photos from Black Adam.
Following up on Dwayne Johnson revealing two covers featuring ‘The Man in Black,’ the magazine has unveiled three new photos.
Johnson explained to Total Film why he held out for 10 years to finally play Black Adam despite discussions for other comic book characters. “Official offers never happened. It was always conversations with studio heads,” said Johnson. “But there was always something unique, different about Black Adam. He was a villain, an antihero, depending on your interpretation of what a villain is. I loved this idea that his pain and rage comes from loss, and was fuelled by oppression. And at some point, he refused to be held down any more. If you wrong him, his family, or his people, then you will die. Period. That is just that simple.”
Seeing as we’re still over seven months out from the release of the film, we’re not sure when we will finally get a full trailer for the film. We would imagine a teaser is not far off, and then a full trailer will be somewhere closer to the release. For now, we’re just glad to finally be getting a better look at the costume.
Black Adam is scheduled to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.
