The CW has released a trailer for Naomi season 1, and it looks as though we will be seeing a broader slice of the DC Universe.
Naomi will follow the story of Naomi McDuffie (Kaci Walfall) as she discovers she has powers. In the comics, this was caused by previously unknown radioactive energy making its way through the ozone layer of the Earth. 29 people ended up with godlike powers, and thankfully Naomi was one that chose to use these abilities for good.
No word yet on how closely the series will follow the comic, but it looks like we won’t waste any time meeting a Thanagarian.
Naomi will debut on the CW on Jan. 11 and will be available on the CW app on Jan. 12.
