HBO Max kicked off 2022 with a new Peacemaker Red Band trailer that is most definitely not safe for work.
We can not stress this strongly enough based just on language, do not watch this trailer with young ones in the room or while at the coffee shop. And most certainly not while at work.
The trailer does make us immediately curious as to who would have ever thought it was a good idea to have someone like Peacemaker speak to a classroom full of kids. Perhaps it’s some form of community service, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
John Cena will reprise his role from the film in the series. Other actors include Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks was later added, and then two more got the nod including Jennifer Holland and Robert Patrick. Another round of cast additions were announced in Dec. 2020 including Chukwudi Iwuji (When They See Us) as a series regular, while Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), and Christopher Heyerdahl (Togo) were added as recurring guest stars. In May 2021 it was announced that Freddie Stroma would replace Chris Conrad in the role of Vigilante. Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji were added in early February, and were joined by Nhut Le as Judomaster later in the month. The last round of announced additions included Alison Araya and Lenny Jacobson as a married couple named Amber and Evan and will appear on a recurring basis.
The first three episodes of Peacemaker will debut on HBO Max on Jan. 13.
