The New Year got kicked off with a band as a new rumor about the upcoming The Flash movie surfaced online that set fans to talking.

A leaker on Twitter known as “MyTimeToShineHello”  stated that one of their sources had seen a cut of The Flash and that it would make major changes to the DC film universe. Namely that Batgirl and Supergirl will play major roles going forward, and that Shazam will be joining a new version of the Justice League.

MyTimeToShineHello’s leaking track record so far has been primarily in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and they are credited with being one of the earliest leakers to release the majority of information about Spider-Man: No Way Home.

David F. Sandberg – the director of Shazam! and Shazam: Fury of the Gods – indicated this was news to him. He did also state in a later reply “I haven’t watched (or read the script of) The Flash so I guess anything could happen as far as I know.”

The original information was then backed up by other known leakers such as Grace Randolph, ViewerAnon, and KC Walsh.

Some clarification was sought by The Flash Film News in a direct message on Instagram with Ezra Miller. To be clear, it is believed this is Miller’s Instagram. Up until recently, they have avoided social media, but this account is now active and verified. “No power or force in any known megaverse would or could ever erase Zack Snyder’s mighty wrkz,” said Miller. “You can take that quote. Take that to the bank, to the press, to the schools, to the military, and the other pillar of capitalism I’m forgetting cause of that thing where if you try to think of a group of things you always forget one of them.”

As The Flash is still 11 months from release, a lot can change in the editing process, and due to that, all of this information should be taken with at least a grain of salt. But it does appear that there will be some major changes to the DC film universe going forward.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2022.
