If you’ve been enjoying Peacemaker, there’s good news that there are more projects on the way.

Speaking with Deadline, James Gunn has said that he isn’t done with The Suicide Squad corner of the DCEU. “We’re working on something else now, another TV show that’s connected to that universe,” said Gunn, “I can’t quite say.”

When asked directly if it was Peter Capaldi’s character, the Thinker, Gunn replied, “I can’t say anything. It is connected to this universe, and I don’t think it will be the same genre as Peacemaker; it won’t be as much a  comedy as Peacemaker, but it will be in the same universe.”

Speaking from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn also shared that Peacemaker may indeed get a second season, saying “There’s a really good chance of that.” He went on to add, “The show is doing extraordinarily well, and we’re excited, we all like doing it, we just need to crossed some ‘T’s and dot some ‘I’s, which is basically me.”

With Gunn booked for more than a year, it will be some time before Peacemaker season 2 or any other series can move forward. He has demonstrated the ability to juggle multiple projects before, so don’t say it’s impossible he won’t at least start writing sometime before Guardians hits screens on May 23, 2023.
