The Wonder Twins movie has found its stars and looks to be moving forward at HBO Max.
According to The Wrap, KJ Apa (Riverdale, Songbird) has signed on to play Zan and Janya will be played by Isabel May (Alexa & Katie, 1883). Black Adam writer Adam Sztykiel is set to write and direct the comedy for HBO Max.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill are set as producers on the film. The company has been behind such franchises as The Twilight Saga and The Fault in Our Stars.
Zan and Jayna are alien siblings that first made their debut in Hanna-Barbera’s The All-New Super Friends Hour which ran from Sept. 10, 1977, to Sept. 2, 1978. They made their debut in the comic books in Super Friends #7 in 1977.
No word as of yet on a possible production schedule for Wonder Twins.
