It was only a matter of time, but a sequel to The Batman is now officially in the works at Warner Bros.
Speaking at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening, Warner Bros. officially announced that a sequel to The Batman is on the way. No details were shared other than Robert Pattinson will return to the role and Matt Reeves will direct once again.
“I’m excited to jump back into this world for the next chapter,” said Reeves of the news.
The film has taken in over $750 million at the global box office off of a rumored budget of $200 million, and has had the second-best opening week on HBO Max since its debut.
No information was shared as to the potential release date of the film.
