A fresh face will be joining the cast of Superman & Lois as Johnathan Kent as Jordan Elsass will not be returning.
According to early reports, Elsass did not arrive in Vancouver by the deadline stipulated by Warner Bros. Television to commence work on Superman & Lois season 3. At that time the decision was made that the role would be recast.
As of Tuesday night, the studio released a statement to Deadline saying, “Jordan Elsass has notified the Studio that he will not be returning to Superman & Lois for season three due to personal reasons. The role of Jonathan Kent will be recast.”
There is no word as of yet if the recasting of the role will cause a delay in series production or the debut of the new season.
Elsass plays one of the two sons of Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and has been with the series since the premiere.
