Wonder Woman 3 finally has an update, and it seems Patty Jenkins may not be quite so ready to say ‘good-bye’ to the character.
For some time we’ve been told that Patty Jenkins would probably depart the Wonder Woman franchise after a third installment, but that may no longer be the case.
Appearing at the Matera Film Festival, Jenkins was asked about the future of the Wonder Woman films and said, “I just wrote last week the final scene for Wonder Woman 3 and I thought, ‘I’d be interested to see what happens next.” She went on to say, “They have asked us to think of ways to do more and it accidentally happens, but you never know. I have a lot of other films I’m excited to do as well.

Wonder Woman 3 was announced almost as soon as Wonder Woman 1984 had completed filming back in 2019. Thanks to the Cornavius Pandemic, that film was delayed multiple times making everything seem that much more drawn out.
While the belief was the third film would be her last, we knew her involvement with the franchise wasn’t completely over. She has been working on developing a series for HBO Max that will focus on the Amazons, but no updates have been shared on that project in some time.
There’s no word as of yet as to when Wonder Woman 3 will go into production.
