It seems you shouldn’t be too surprised if some familiar faces from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 make their way into the DC Universe at some point.

Speaking with Empire in support of his upcoming final film for Marvel Studios, Gunn shared some thoughts on the possibility he may reuse some of his past casting choices. “This cast are like my family,” said Gunn. “I cannot tell you how close I am to Chris Pratt and Pom [Klementieff] and Dave [Bautista] and Zoe [Saldana] and Karen [Gillan]. But I also know I will work again with all those people individually again.” He went on to add, “Probably at my other job.”

Of course, by his ‘other job,’ he is referring to his recent appointment to being the co-chair of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran. Gunn shared that while finishing up the third Guardians film is currently his “day job,” his duties for DC are “a very healthy part-time job that’s at least another 40 to 60 hours a week.”

Gunn is well-known for reusing cast members that he enjoys working with. The Suicide Squad gave him the chance to do this with multiple actors. Michael Rooker played Savant and has had some form of role in every film Gunn has made since Slither in 2006. Nathan Fillion is another frequent collaborator and played T.D.K. Klementieff – who plays Mantis in the Guardians films – had a brief cameo as a dancer in the bar. It wouldn’t be difficult for her to play someone else in the DC Universe still.

Who these actors could eventually play is anyone’s guess
