Two more are joining the cast of the upcoming Gotham Knights series.
Ethan Embry & Sunny Mabrey have joined the cast of Gotham Knights on a recurring basis. Mabrey will be the first to appear in episode 5 where she will be playing Crystal Brown, the wife of a local celebrity. She is a warm personality, but can run cold as ice the next minute due to a secret addiction.
Embry will debut in episode 6 as Arthur Brown, the eccentric host of a TV gameshow. But he has a dark side as well and will go to any lengths to keep his family’s personal life out of the public eye.
“We were blown away by Sunny’s audition for Gotham Knights. It was immediately clear she had the expansive emotional range needed to play this deeply polarizing character. And then we were delighted to discover that Sunny’s husband is an actor who has many fans among our cast, crew and writers. Ethan’s brought Arthur to life in such rich, delightfully disturbing ways. We hope to surprise fans of the mythos with where our story is going, though we’ll give you a clue… Quiz Bowl airs weeknights in Gotham,” executive producers/showrunners Chad Fiveash & James Stoteraux and co-executive producer Natalie Abrams said un a statenent.
Misha Collins recently shared a small taste of his Two-Face makeup, so it looks as though things are really coming together for this series.
The new series will feature Oscar Morgan as Bruce Wayne’s adoptive son, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, and Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara as Harper and Cullen Row respectively.
First rumored in Dec. 2021, the new series will hail from Batwoman writers James Stoteraux, Natalie Abrams, and Chad Fiveash. Despite a video game currently in development by the same name, it will apparently have no connection to this new series. It will also not be connected with Batwoman despite the writers moving over from that series.
Here is the logline for the upcoming TV project:
“In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors.”
Gotham Knights is slated to debut on The CW on March 14, 2023.
