Filming on The Penguin series is drawing closer, and Colin Farrell is sharing a bit more of the plans for the series.
In a new interview with Variety, Farrell has revealed that as of right now he doesn’t know if he is in The Batman: Part II, but that he is hopeful.
“I think it’s going to be eight-part thing for HBO yeah but around ours is kind of rise into power filling that power vacuum that was created when Falcone was killed. Matt’s idea originally was to have the penguin show begin about a week after the end of The Batman film and then if it works if the trajectory is interesting enough and if the audience go for it and we do our jobs right have Penguin feature in the second film and pick up where the HBO show will end.” He went on to add, “So I don’t know, I’d love to be in [The Batman: Part II].”
Farrell also addressed getting into the makeup and that the first time was around four hours. They widdled that down the more they did it getting to just under two hours. He doesn’t mind the time commitment, however, as it allows himt o go over lines, prepare for the day, and get in a nap or two.
The Penguin doesn’t currently have a release date, but will begin filming at the end of February.
