The Penguin series for HBO Max has begun filming in and around New York City and some set photos and videos have already surfaced.
The first photos show Colin Farrell suited up as Oswald. The purple jacket seems a fitting color for him.
There is also a brief video of him walking into a building, but it is clearly not part of a scene.
We can not confirm the following information, but there is a list of where the series may be filming in the coming days.
Rhenzy Felix (Runaways), Michael Kelly (Jack Ryan), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), and Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range) have all joined the series in unknown roles. Clancy Brown has joined as Boss Maroni.
The series will see Colin Farrell reprising his role as Oswald Cobblepot, and Cristin Milioti has joined the cast as Sofia Falcone.
Craig Zobel (The Mare of Easttown) has signed on to direct the first two episodes of The Penguin. He will also be serving as an executive producer on the project.
The Penguin project has been discussed for some time and was ordered straight to series shortly after the premiere of The Batman in March 2021.
Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions, Dylan Clark Productions, and Warner Bros. Television are all working on the series. Daniel Pipski from 6th & Idaho Production will also serve as an executive producer along with Rafi Crohn as a co-executive producer.
