James Gunn has added Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen and Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher to the cast of Superman: Legacy.
Gunn has confirmed that Gisondo and Sampaio are both joining his growing cast. Olsen is best known for being the photographer that works with both Lois Lane and Clark Kent and even got his own spinoff comic, Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen that ran for 163 issues. Gisondo is best known for his work on the HBO series, The Righteous Gemstones.
Sampaio is a Portuguese model best-known for her Victoria’s Secret work. Teschmacher was a character created for Richard Donner’s Superman: The Movie.
Gisondo and Sampaio will be joining previously announced David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and María Gabriela de Faría as the Engineer. The casting of Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor still remains unconfirmed as of the time of publishing.
With filming slated to begin in Jan., and numerous other roles to still be announced, there are sure to be more announcements in the coming weeks.
Superman: Legacy will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
