MTV’s Josh Horowitz caught up with Ben Affleck and asked about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, specifically about the influence that Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns will have on it. Here’s what Affleck had to say:
“I do think Zack [Snyder] was heavily influenced by [The Dark Knight Returns]. Everyone’s influenced by that. It’s the seminal work. I don’t think there’s any [Batman movies] that have been made without drawing from that book because it’s so good. If you’re smart you steal from the best.”
Horwitz even tried to get Affleck to do his Batman voice but unfortunately he declined, joking “You have to pay IMAX money for that”. Check out the fun interview in the video player above!
