Christopher Nolan may hate the internet, but not his brother Jonathan! The Batman Begins teaser trailer above was up-voted to the top of reddit earlier this week (via CBM), and a fan asked why the dialogue from Bruce Wayne wasn’t in the final movie. To their surprise, the man who wrote the dialogue popped in and answered. That man was Jonathan Nolan. His reddit account was verified two years ago when he participated in an “Ask Me Anything”, so it’s legit.
So there you have it! Sometimes cool dialogue, or even full scenes, are written and filmed specifically for a trailer. After all, a trailer is just a really awesome commercial to try and get you to come to the theater.
