Warner Bros. hires director for Justice League Dark movie

Warner Bros. is moving forward with an adaptation of “Dark Universe” — a.k.a., Justice League Dark, Variety reports. Doug Liman has signed on to direct the project.

Liman was previously attached to direct Channing Tatum’s Gambit movie, but that project is in development hell and it looks like Liman got out of there!

Scott Rudin is producing Justice League Dark and Michael Gilio is writing the script.

Variety says that plot details are being kept secret for now, but that the story revolves around a dark Justice League team that consists of Det. John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and Etrigan the Demon.
