How do you take the focus off of a rumored list of villains in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? You release the official first look at Superman! Warner Bros. just unveiled Henry Cavill in his blue and red suit via USA Today.

Director Zack Snyder spoke with USA Today and said that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be thicker, denser and more epic than Man of Steel. It will build towards a Justice League movie, which USA Today says is tentatively scheduled for a 2018 release.
When asked about the inclusion of an older Batman, Snyder said “it’s cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys.” When asked about the title, Snyder explained that having the “v” instead of “vs.” is a way “to keep it from being a straight ‘versus’ movie, even in the most subtle way.”
Snyder revealed that Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill have already shot some scenes together, but what about Gal Gadot? Just earlier this week she was spotted on the set of a new movie. She’ll be back and stronger than ever, according to Snyder, who says he hasn’t filmed any scenes with Wonder Woman yet. “She’s working out and getting buff and ripped”, he added.
