‘Suicide Squad: The Album’ nominated for an American Music Award

Nominees for the 2016 American Music Awards were announced today on Good Morning America, and “Suicide Squad: The Album” made the cut!

Weirdly, its biggest competition may come from Prince’s 1984 album “Purple Rain”. I have no idea why it’d receive a nomination after winning American Music Awards back in 1985, but I guess the singer’s abrupt death earlier this year has something to do with it. The soundtrack to Star Wars: The Force Awakens is also nominated.

Top Soundtrack

  • Suicide Squad: The Album
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Purple Rain

“Suicide Squad: The Album” is the biggest soundtrack of 2016, and recently went Gold after selling over 500,000 copies. It was so successful that a Collector’s Edition of the album with even more songs was released last month.

Winner are chosen by the fans, so you can head on over to AMA’s website to cast your vote for Suicide Squad. The American Music Awards air November 20th on ABC.
