The Joker (Batman Imposter Version) Hot Toys Sixth Scale Figure review

If you’re like me, you often look in awe at the quality of the figures that Hot Toys makes. I was lucky enough to buy my first one in 2012, Batman from The Dark Knight Rises, and the quality didn’t disappoint in person either. Now, Sideshow Collectibles has sent me my second Hot Toys figure. I’m going to be taking a look at The Joker (Batman Imposter Version) in this review.

The first big difference with this figure is that it isn’t based on a character that we saw in a movie. It’s from the world of Suicide Squad, but Hot Toys got to use their imagination and create a new figure. They came up with a figure that shows us what it would look like if Jared Leto’s Joker impersonated Ben Affleck’s Batman.

Unboxing

I’m a big technology fan, and the only experience that comes close to unboxing a new product from Apple is unboxing a figure from Hot Toys. Even their packing is incredibly detailed. You can tell that you’re getting a high quality product from the moment you open the box.

What’s Included

Besides the figure, of course, there are some accessories included in the box. There are six interchangeable hands and two weapons. The weapons are blood stained, which is a nice touch for The Joker. The hands that are sculpted to hold the included weapons have blood all over them as well. The weapons included are Batman’s batarangs and grapple gun. The grapple gun has a fun Joker twist, however. It’s actually a version of his classic flag gun. Though instead of saying “BANG!” it says “GOD’S ONLY CHILD”.

Putting It All Together

Included in the box is a stand and backdrop, so that you can display the figure in style. There was nothing to assemble as far as the figure goes, you just have to snap a few pieces together for the stand.

Everything you’d expect from Jared Leto’s Joker is here, from the tattoos to the grill on his teeth. As a nice touch, his cape is all torn and ripped with holes in it as well. Check out photos of what the figure looks like in person in the gallery below.

Wrap Up

Overall, I was very impressed with this figure by Hot Toys. If you’re a collector, I think this is a must have because of how unique it is. This isn’t something from a movie, it comes to us from the minds of the great artists and designers at Hot Toys. The Joker (Batman Imposter Version) is available exclusively at Sideshow Collectibles for $264.99.
