Jason Momoa already pitched ‘Aquaman 2’ to Warner Bros., and they loved it

Aquaman is just a couple of months away now, and star Jason Momoa already has ideas for a sequel. In the November issue of Total Film magazine, Momoa said that he pitched Warner Bros. on his ideas, and they loved it.

“I definitely have an opinion,” Momoa said about an Aquaman sequel. “Even when we were shooting Aquaman, I have the opening of Aquaman 2 ready. I went in and pitched it to [producer Peter] Safran, and I pitched it to [Warner Bros. chairman] Toby Emmerich. They loved it. Its awesome… But yeah, I have plans for Aquaman 2.”

Meanwhile, Aquaman director James Wan told Total Film that he didn’t want to jinx anything by talking about sequel plans too early, but he did hint that he has some ideas as well.

“There’s definitely stories, even within the world we’ve created, that you can actually see other storylines [spinning off from] as well,” Wan explained. “There’s the Aquaman story, but then there’s the stories of the seven different kingdoms as well. I think those would be very fun to explore.”

We’ll have to see how well Aquaman does at the box office this December before getting too excited about any possible sequels, but it’s great to hear that everyone has ideas, especially Jason Momoa.
