Titans Sends Out a Casting Call That Could Mean Fan Favorites are on the Way

It seems that some more members of the Titans are on their way to join the team on TV if a new casting call is anything to go by.

The Rochester/Finger Lakes Film Commission recently shared a casting call for Titans that sure seems to point to Jericho possibly joining the team.

LOOKING FOR DEAF ACTORS! “I’m the Casting Associate on season 2 of the DC superhero series TITANS, and we recently released the below breakdown. Because of the context of the role, we would really like to look for actors who are deaf or hard of hearing, and are fluent in ASL. If you know of any current or former students who might fit the below description, please send them my way, or have them send their contact/rep info to my email. Thanks!

ROLE: Male, 21-24, Mixed Latino or Mixed Asian. As a young boy, Max was a kind-hearted soul who never measured up to the expectations of his domineering military father. Bullied by his peers, he retreated even further inward. He’s a misfit who’s always longed for acceptance and love, but never found it, always suffering betrayal by those he dared to believe in most. As a result, he’s grown into a young man who now longs to inflict pain on all those who have caused him pain… 7/13 SERIES REGULAR… PLEASE ALSO SUBMIT ACTORS WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING, AND NOTE ANY ACTORS WHO ARE FLUENT IN ASL

If Jericho – who was mute – joins the team, it’s not an outlandish assumption to think that Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, his father, might be on his way as well.

Joseph Wilson was rendered mute in the comics when an enemy of Deathstroke took him hostage and slit his throat. Later in life, he developed a metahuman ability – courtesy of genetic manipulation by his father – that allowed him to take possession of any human he made eye contact with. He joined the Titans in one of the most well-known Titans storylines, “Judas Contract,” which saw Deathstroke having accepted a contract on the Titans.

If Jericho is indeed the character – ‘Max’ could very easily be a codename – it just seems natural that Deathstroke would be involved. We’ll just have to wait and see.

It sounds as though season 2 is going to be a busy one on Titans as we already know Connor Kent and Krypto will be involved as well. With the four main Titans in there, as well as Hawk & Dove and Wonder Girl, and more on the way, the team is going to need a pretty big clubhouse.

No word as of yet to when Titans season 2 will debut.
