DC Universe relaunching in 2021 as DC Universe Infinite

DC has finally made it official and announced that DC Universe will transition to a comics-only service renamed as DC Universe Infinite.

After months of speculation, DC made the announcement official on Friday morning. All of the series such as Titans, Harley Quinn, Stargirl season 1, and so on will be moving to HBO Max as their new streaming home. All of the comics will continue to reside in their own app which will be rebranded as DC Universe Infinite on Jan. 21, 2021.

The new service will cost $7.99 a month or $74.99 for an annual membership. Those of you that are current members, if you stay on for the transition you will receive a voucher for credit in the DC store. $10 for monthly members and $25 for annual members. The vouchers will be delivered on Feb. 1, 2021.

In celebration of the news, members will be able to add HBO Max to their existing subscription for an additional $4.99 a month through Oct. 30, 2020.

“Our fans love the platform’s robust library of comic books and, with the transformation, we will not disappoint,” said DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee. “I’m excited to share that not only will DC UNIVERSE INFINITE members still be able to read all of the great comics that they’ve enjoyed but new issues are debuting on the platform quicker than before, digital first exclusives are being created, and the members-only events will begin as soon as possible. There has never been a better time to be a DC fan!”

And for those of you outside of the U.S., DC Universe Infinite will be offered globally beginning in Summer 2021.
