James Gunn has added María Gabriela de Faría to the cast of Superman: Legacy as Angela Spica aka The Engineer.
Gunn has confirmed that da Faria will be playing The Engineer, a character that was created by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch and first appeared in The Authority Vol. 1 #1 in 1999. She will be a part of a larger team, but no other members have been announced as of yet.
da Faria joins previously announced David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner.
With filming slated to begin in Jan., and numerous other roles to still be announced, there are sure to be more announcements in the coming weeks.
Superman: Legacy will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
