Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League servers taken down only an hour after launch

For those willing to pay the premium fee of $99.99 for the Deluxe Edition, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was set to launch 72 hours early on January 30th. While that date is still hours away for most of the world, fans in Australia and New Zealand were able to download and play the game when the clock struck midnight almost a full day ahead of the United States. However, those players noticed something wrong almost immediately.

Upon logging into the servers required for the game to function, save files were marked as having fully completed the game. This bug was severe and widespread enough that Rocksteady Studios decided to shut down the servers for maintenance until further notice.

It is unclear how this will affect the majority of players who paid for the ability to access the game early. This comes in the wake of yet another controversy with the game’s launch where news outlets recently revealed that they were not given any review codes. The game’s full release is still set for February 2nd.

Update: Rocksteady says that they have identified the problem and hope to implement a fix soon.

Update: Rocksteady has scheduled server maintenance for 3:30 AM PT, January 30th. Servers will be offline during that time.

Update: Servers are now back online and the bug is believed to be fixed.
