Last October we learned that a Deathstroke movie was in development from The Raid director Gareth Evans. That was before Justice League bombed and major changes were made at Warner Bros. and DC Films. So how are things going with Deathstroke?
Variety caught up with Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello tonight at the premiere of his new movie, Rampage, and asked for an update on his superhero movie. “There are things in the works,” he confirmed. “That’s all I can say.”
Manganiello made his first appearance as Deathstroke in a post-credits scene in Justice League. He was supposed to star in The Batman when Ben Affleck was writing and directing it, but once Affleck stepped down director Matt Reeves decided to take the movie in a different direction.
