Is this our first look at Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker?
Joker director Todd Phillips just posted a video on Instagram that he captioned “Camera test”. It shows Phoenix’s character Arthur Fleck going through a visual transformation. From the troubled man we saw last weekend, to someone with green hair, white face paint, and red lips. Check out the video below.
There are definitely classic Joker elements with Phoenix’s look, but it’s also a little different than what we’ve seen before. Is this the final look of The Joker, or just another step towards him becoming the Clown Prince of Crime later on in the movie?

In the quick flashes that occur during the video, it looks like Phoenix is in this makeup on stage performing. That makes me think his Joker look will evolve later on in the movie.
