Aquaman is off to a very strong start at the Chinese box office and is setting some records while he’s at it.
While the Friday box office for Aquaman in China was impressive bringing in $25M. On Saturday it did even better and took in $37.2M for a new total of $61.1M. Estimates are now pegging it to finish the weekend with $80M. This will be the best showing ever for a DC film in China.
This is a great start for the King of Atlantis, and it’s still just under two weeks before the film hits theaters in the United States. It’s going to be interesting to see how the film performs globally in the coming weeks.
