A new The Suicide Squad trailer has arrived bringing with it new footage and some more information on the plot.
Warner Bros. has released a final trailer for The Suicide Squad following on from the red band and green band ones released earlier this year. The latest trailer doesn’t give too much way other than some background info on Bloodsport (Idris Elba), some more footage of the Squad, and some hints to the background of a certain kaiju.
“Welcome to hell — a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese.”

The Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters and HBO Max on Aug. 6, 2021 in the U.S., and will be in theaters in the U.K. on July 30.
