April 18, 1938 was the first appearance of Superman, James Gunn marked the day with a photo of himself, David Corenswet, and Rachel Brosnahan.
Gunn shared the photo on social media on Thursday morning of him and his two actors looking at different Superman comics from throughout the years.
There had been some theories that Gunn would reveal the first full photos of the Superman costume on this date. Following the release of this photo, that chatter has died down and no one is sure when we’ll see the reveal of the suit.
The cast is set to include David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and María Gabriela de Faría as the Engineer.
Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
