Lanterns TV series has reportedly found its writers (UPDATED)

UPDATE: James Gunn has confirmed the involvement of both writers along with Tom King.

According to some recently discovered industry listings, it would appear the upcoming DCU Lanterns series has found its writers.

Thanks to updates to their WGA directory listings, both Damon Lindelof and Chris Mundy have reportedly landed writing jobs on the DCU Lanterns series. This has not yet been confirmed by any official sources, but the information appearing in the WGA directories is a good indication.

This would not be Leindlof’s first foray into the world of DC titles having previously served as showrunner on the Watchmen TV series. His other credits as showrunner include Lost and The Leftovers.

Munday has worked on series such as Ozark and True Detective.

A TV series based on the Green Lantern Corps has been in the works for some years now going through multiple concepts and iterations. A version previous to this included an anthology concept and got as far as casting Jeremy Irvine as Alan Scott, and Finn Wittrock as Guy Gardner. When James Gunn and Peter Safran were named the co-CEOs of DC Studios, that version of the project was canceled.

No information has been provided as of yet as to the production schedule for Lanterns.
