Robert Pattinson comments on his potential Batman voice

One of the biggest question marks around every actor who plays Batman is what they will do with their voice. While some have been iconic such as Kevin Conroy‘s, others were met with blowback at times from fans like Christian Bale‘s.

While we have yet to see Robert Pattinson in a Batsuit, and casting is still ongoing, the actor is already thinking about his voice. Speaking with Access Hollywood in support of his film The Lighthouse, Pattinson made a comment about the possible inspiration for his Batman voice saying that Willem Dafoe’s performance may play into it.

“Willem’s voice in this is quite inspiring for it to be honest,” said Pattinson. “It is pretty similar to the voice I’m gonna do… I think Batman has a sort of pirate-y kind of voice…”

We’re imagining that he is talking lower and guttural, we highly doubt he will be calling Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman “Lass,” or Paul Dano’s Riddler “Matey.”

It’s as big a deal as seeing what the Batmobile will look like, but we’ll just have to wait to hear his take on the Batman voice for now.
