Esai Morales appears to have won the role of Deathstroke in Titans season 2.

According to a report from Deadline, Morales has landed the role of Slade Wilson for the second season of Titans which is currently in production. This version of Deathstroke is described in a casting breakdown as follows:

Slade Wilson is known for being DC’s deadliest assassin. While serving his country, Slade became an elite soldier before government testing enhanced his physiology to near superhuman levels, putting him on a path of darkness and revenge. To his family, Slade is a father and husband, but to the rest of the world, he is feared by many as the infamous Deathstroke; selling his services to the highest bidder as the ruthless assassin that never gives up and never misses.

We’ve suspected for some time that Deathstroke was in the cards for season 2 thanks to casting notices. Now that it appears to be confirmed, that also lends some credence to the rumors that the show is currently casting for Ravager, his daughter, as well.

It certainly sounds like it’s going to be a full season for Titans. We already know Superboy is on his way, and it certainly sounds like Jericho and Lex Luthor may be in the mix as well.

No word as of yet as to when Titans season 2 will debut on DC Universe.
