It looks like we may have a more definite date on when The Suicide Squad will be going in front of the cameras.

According to a report from GeekVibesNation, The Suicide Squad will begin filming in Atlanta, Georgia on Sept. 23, 2019 and is targeting to wrap on Jan. 31, 2020. With the holiday season in there, that seems like a pretty healthy shooting schedule.

There is still a lot of information that’s awaiting confirmation on The Suicide Squad. David Dastmalchian is confirmed as Polka-Dot Man, but after that, it’s a lot of speculation. It’s believed that Daniela Melchior is playing Ratcatcher, John Cena has seemingly confirmed he is in talks for a role believed to be Peacemaker, Benicio del Toro is reportedly in talks for the main villain, and speculation is still rampant on who Idris Elba is playing.

On the flip side of returning characters, there’s quite a bit going on there as well. Margot Robbie is rumored, but not confirmed, to return as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman looks to be returning as Flagg, word is that Viola Davis will also reprise her role as Amanda Waller, and Jai Courtney can’t stop talking about returning as Captain Boomerang.

While Warner Bros. isn’t having a Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con this year, hopefully we’ll get some sort of clarification on all of this casting news this summer.

The Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.
